ABOUT US
We are glad that you are here and would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are Mimi, Basti and Pauli and we are the owners of this brand new dive center! Maybe you already know us and the whole story of how we got here from Cres or Lake Weissensee. For those who don't know us yet, here's a short version of our story...
We got to know each other in April 2017 at Diving Cres in Croatia. I (Mimi) was about to do my diving instructor course there and Pauli, whom I had met while freediving in Regensburg a few years earlier, accompanied me. Shortly after, Basti arrived in Cres to do his Divemaster course. Both Basti and I had already quit our jobs at the time and were looking for something new and exciting to do. Basti had previously checked medical bills as an insurance and finance clerk and was tired of the boring daily office life. I had previously worked as a project assistant in a photovoltaics company in Regensburg and had a terrible boss, which was also finally the reason I resigned. Pauli did not have a "real" job either - he had already set up his own business with his buddy in the field of renewable energies and had experienced ups and downs with this company for years.
There we were, me as a newly certified diving instructor, Basti as newly certified divemaster and Pauli with his laptop in the hammock, hacking away. We had a really good time together! But at one point Pauli had to go back home to Germany and for Basti and myself the high season started.
We worked together, we lived together, we dived together, we laughed together, we made plans together - and of course we fell in love! And suddenly there was the news that Mario and Jutta from Diving Cres wanted to sell their second dive center at Lake Weissensee and of course we were immediately hooked. We bought Diving Weissensee and spent three exciting years at the lake. Over those years Pauli was always there to help us in the summer and in the wintertime with Ice diving too. We were all dreaming of further projects together. We kept searching for dive centers in Croatia for sale and looked at countless properties until we finally found our future Diving Rabac at the end of 2020. In 2021 the time had finally come; Pauli sold his company shares and worked for us at Weissensee as a base leader with the intention for the coming season to manage Diving Weissensee with the three of us and founding Diving Rabac...
